UTM is seeking an Operations Manager, to deliver the next stage of growth in our development as a key recruitment partner to global clients and contractors in the offshore energy market.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Recruitment Account Manager / Team Leader, with a strong background in contract recruitment within the offshore energy industry who is looking for their next move, to join a privately owned, rapidly expanding energy recruitment company.

The purpose of the role is to ensure efficient administration and management of the operational side of the business, to include internal sales administration, customer service, operational systems, project management, regulatory compliance, and more. Working as part of the senior leadership team you will;

  • Have the ability and vision to see the big picture, but also to relish the detail – in particular being responsible for ensuring that all functions of the business are appropriately resourced and managed, and that business risk is continually assessed
  • Oversee the business systems and processes,
  • Through efficient operations, ensure the best possible customer journey
  • Lead improvement projects and work closely with Directors to grow the company

This role involves building up and developing the strong inhouse recruitment team and ensuring the further business utilisation of the contacts, systems and technology that we have in place. You will still be actively involved in winning and developing new clients and the subsequent management of these clients by the recruitment team.

Qualifications / Experience

You will need to have experience within the offshore industry, in the supply globally of contractors to clients on projects both long and short term projects.

You will be:

  • Experienced in operations, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ambitious and value driven, with excellent leadership skills and initiative
  • Incredibly well organised and analytical
  • Assertive, yet empathetic and self-aware
  • Willing to take ownership and responsibility
  • Honest, ethical, and hard working
  • Very confident with IT and systems
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
