The summer of 2019 has proven to be a vibrant period for UTM’s freelance Hydrographic Survey consultants, with client-led demand for experienced EIVA offshore professionals increasing year-on-year.
Whilst we expect the volume of work for Hydrographic Surveyors and Data Processors with a strong handle on EIVA to increase well into Autumn, we’re also aware that winter is just around the corner – a time, traditionally, where our proactive professionals look to take stock of the year ahead and up-skill in key areas.
In line with UTM’s commitment to providing industry leading training solutions that really benefit the careers of our freelancers and the wider Hydrographic Survey industry, we’ve once again teamed up with EIVA to offer a 5 day EIVA NaviSuite Nardoa Data Processing Course focussing on the processing of pipeline and cable inspection data.
Course dates are confirmed as 25th November until 29th November 2019 at our Cornwall HQ.

Essential EIVA Data Processor Training Delivered by the Experts
Based at our Hydrographic Survey Divisional HQ in Cornwall, UK, and run by expert software trainers from EIVA, this is the perfect training course for Data Processors who are not yet familiar with EIVA software or for EIVA Surveyors who are looking to re-specialise in, or acquire extra knowledge of, EIVA Data Processing.
Focus on Competence and Confidence with EIVA NaviSuite
The course is structured around a general curriculum to give training course delegates a broad understanding of the EIVA NaviSuite processing and reporting software solutions. Delegates will also become confident in carrying out data processing in general as well as post-processing of pipeline and cable inspection data.
To enhance trainee competence and confidence, a wide range of typical pipeline-based hydrographic survey data sets, acquired using the EIVA NaviSuite navigation and acquisition software solutions, will be used to exemplify post-processing scenarios of typical pipeline inspection data. The majority of the course subjects will be supplemented by hands-on training.
The course schedule will be as follows:
- November 25th 2019: EIVA NaviEdit
- November 26th – 28th 2019: EIVA NaviModel/Naviplot
- November 29th 2019: EIVA NaviModel/NaviEdit with a focus on pipeline and cable inspection
