UTM Consultants are looking for a Works Manager, you would be responsible for the operational execution of the works on site. You can rely on a team of site superintendents and project engineers. You report directly to the project manager. You focus on the bigger scheme of things whereas the superintendents deal with day to day issues. We are currently looking for an experienced Works Manager who can manage (large) offshore subsea cable installation projects, having both a strong engineering but also installation background.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
- You organize the planning of the works.
- You will be focusing on the optimization and execution of our subsea cable installation projects.
- You'll take care of the client’s needs (internal and external).
- You contribute to efficient realization of the project activities.
- You organize the planning of the works.
- You manage QHSE-S standards and keep the project within time and budget.
- You work closely together with Superintendents and Project Engineers on site and you coordinate the operational staff.
Technical profile requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with complex offshore engineering projects is required.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
- Extensive experience working in Highsafety environments.
Non-Technical profile requirements
- Good communication skills and able to take a critical view towards the works to be carried out.
- Work well in teams, where you are able to support the other persons in your team and lead the workforce in the field.
- You can work autonomously and are a problem-solver by nature.
- You have a hands-on mentality.
Methodology/Certification requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering, preferably with a specialization in construction, or the equivalent by experience.
- Offshore Medical Certificate
- Chester Step
- STCW Basic Safety Training
The project is due to start on 1st October 2026 and will last approx. 24 weeks
