QHSE Offshore Medical Officer

UTM Consultants are looking for an Offshore Medic, that will play a key role within the on-site team assigned to one of our offshore projects worldwide. The Offshore Medic will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and controlling all onboard medical practices, ensuring compliance with company and international standards. 

This includes delivering direct medical care to personnel, managing medical facilities and supplies, and carrying out regular inspections of activities and equipment to verify compliance with health and safety requirements. 

Offshore Medics will also support emergency response preparedness and help promote a safe and healthy working environment for all offshore staff.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to offshore personnel, including emergency response, occupational health treatment, and accurate documentation of all cases.
  • Maintain and operate offshore medical facilities, ensuring readiness, functionality, and sufficient supplies and equipment at all times.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of medical reports, compile statistics, and provide analysis and reports as required.
  • Oversee occupational health and hygiene programmes, including health surveillance, fitness-to-work monitoring, and workplace environment assessments.
  • Assist in planning and conducting emergency drills and training exercises, evaluate medical preparedness, and recommend improvements.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and toolbox talks, providing medical and health-related input where relevant.
  • Support incident investigations from a medical perspective, ensuring findings and corrective actions are documented and followed up.
  • Carry out onboard medical inspections, ensuring compliance with health standards, proper reporting, and effective follow-up.

Technical Profile Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Offshore Medic in high-risk industries.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in offshore wind operations is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a 4:4 or 5:5 rotation.
  • Medically fit for offshore work.

Job-Specific Certification Requirements
  • HSE Offshore Medic certification (or equivalent).
  • Valid Medic licence.
  • NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate or equivalent experience is desirable.

Offshore-Specific Certification Requirements
  • Full GWO certification.
  • Valid Offshore Medical.
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with CA-EBS.
  • Chester Step Test (or equivalent).
  • Bi-deltoid measurement.

Visa Requirements
  • US B1 OCS WIND Visa required.

Language Proficiencies
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.

The project is due to start on 13th July 2026 and will last approx. 12 weeks
