QA/QC Lead – Foundations

• The Foundation QA/QC Lead will report to the Foundation Quality Manager and provide key support, guidance and technical fabrication quality advice to the site inspectors, as well as the Foundation Package team, to ensure a consistent methodology is being applied and understood by all parties.
• The QA/QC Lead will lead the site inspector and support the Foundation Quality Manager in the planning, implementation and maintenance of the Project/Package Quality Plan and Fabrication Quality Plan activities at the fabrication yard.
• The QA/QC Lead will implement the Employer’s Requirements and other relevant Employer’s Requirements and processes into the fabrication Works and in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
• The QA/QC Lead will also support all secondary steel and subcontractor activities related to the manufacturing scope.
• The QA/QC Lead will assist on other parts of the Foundation and wider Packages as required.

Scope of Services (Responsibilities)

• Act as QA/QC Lead for the x 3 Monopile Fabrication, load out facilities.
• Assist Foundation QE with installation activities.
• Follow the project quality plan and ensure project quality objectives and KPIs are met.
• Ensure quality requirements for the package are understood and compliance ensured.
• Promote quality culture and initiatives on site.
• Provide support to the Project Quality Manager and the site team on the performance of defined and ad-hoc audits, as well as quality gate reviews.
• Work closely with the Fabrication Manager, Quality Manager and the wider site teams to continuously monitor the fabrication Works performed by the Contractor, ensuring compliance with the contractual requirements including, but not limited to, applicable specifications, standards and norms.
• Liaise with the Contractor’s team at the fabrication site on all fabrication Works being undertaken.
• Participate in the various regular site meetings, including ad-hoc QC inspection look-ahead, QC issues meeting, joint weekly quality walks, readiness reviews, NC reviews etc.
• Perform surveillance/witnessing of the fabrication Works, including fit-ups and dimensional control checks as notified by the Contractor and throughout, using agreed documentation including ITPs, and ensure compliance with Project/Contract requirements.
• Attend the Contractor’s subcontractors’ facility and perform surveillance/witnessing of the fabrication Works as notified and as necessary.
• Perform daily monitoring of the quality of the workmanship, including general housekeeping, welding station, welding processes including welder qualification for WPS being used, welding equipment, materials and consumables traceability, etc.
• Monitor the NDT wait times being followed by the NDT technicians and ensure correctness.
• Support in the review of quality documentation prior to commencement of fabrication activities – including, but not limited to, ITPs, welding/NDT and inspection procedures, etc.
• Verification of the fabrication drawings against the design drawings during product inspection to ensure compliance throughout the Works.
• Participate in joint walk-downs, final inspections and punch/snag item identification at defined stages of the Works and prior to load out. Perform follow-up inspections on those corrected defects/punches by the Contractor.
• Provide support to the site team and the Employer’s Package team on fabrication-related technical deviations, site queries and change requests as required.
• Report any fabrication-related queries and non-conformity to the Contractor for immediate action, including issuing non-conformity report, and notify the Package team for their awareness and other appropriate follow-up actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly site reporting on all fabrication-related matters as required.
• Utilise LetsBuild (Aproplan) to record activities performed - inspection/surveillances, observations, reporting etc.
• Review fabrication records progressively and highlight any issues for immediate attention and correction by the Contractor.
• Support the review of the Final As-Built Fabrication Records as presented by the Contractor, including their subcontractors.
• Progressively collate discipline-specific Lessons Learned and provide to the Employer’s Package team at defined stages of the Works and at the end of the scope of Works.
• Coverage on site as per contractual working week or as per inspection notification issued by the Contractor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience as a client lead inspector and at supervisory level, with good understanding of the fabrication, NDT and coating methods of large fabricated offshore structures and sub-structures (Offshore Windfarms – foundations (TP/MP), substations and jackets).
• Proven technical fabrication experience in welding/NDT/coating, including associated processes.
• Experience working to NORSOK/DNV and applicable standards for offshore structures.
• Quality auditing experience and qualification.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, within a team, effectively and efficiently.
• Strong leadership skill and ability to influence positively at various levels of the organisation.
• Fluent in English – written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skill.
• Proven experience working with fabrication drawings.
• Welding Inspector CSWIP or equivalent, or have held.
• Coating inspection experience, CSWIP/FROSIO or equivalent, or have held.
• NDT (UT, MPI, DPI, Radiograph etc.) – PCN or equivalent, or have held.

The project is due to start on 9th September 2026 and will last approx. 72 weeks
