Offshore Senior HSE Advisor

This role will be responsible for promoting and providing expert Health, Safety and Environmental guidance across the project, ensuring safe working practices, compliance with legal and client requirements, and the effective implementation of HSE management systems. The successful candidate will also support and guide a team of HSE Advisors, assist with proactive HSE planning, and work closely with the Project HSE Manager and wider project stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in onshore renewables and offshore wind construction.
Key Responsibilities-
Promote and drive a strong proactive HSE culture through visible leadership, engagement, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned.

Provide professional HSE advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, employees, and contractors on safe work practices, standards, and legal requirements.

Support the identification of hazards and ensure suitable control measures are implemented and maintained.

Provide day-to-day support to a team of HSE Advisors, including planning proactive activities and managing challenges as they arise.

Ensure suitable and sufficient HSE support is provided to all stakeholders across the project.

Liaise closely with the Project HSE Manager and other key stakeholders to support project HSE delivery.

Support the development, implementation, and use of client HSE systems, procedures, instructions, and associated documentation.

Review HSE documentation including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Plan, facilitate, and participate in safety meetings, Toolbox Talks, briefings, safety walks, inspections, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, and cultural programmes.

Monitor and assess HSE compliance and performance, including reporting, trend analysis, and use of incident management systems such as Synergi.

Coordinate and report safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, observations, risks, and lessons learned.

Support internal and external audits and follow up on actions, findings, NCRs, and improvement measures.

Build effective working relationships with contractors, site teams, client representatives, and project leadership to strengthen HSE performance.

Report reliable and timely HSE data to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain personal competence, training, and certification requirements relevant to the role.

Facilitation of regular HSE meetings with contractors and package representatives

Entry of incidents and proactive measures into Synergi

Support of project QHSE risk management processes and management framework requirements

Fluent English language skills
-
Relevant academic or technical background
-
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, ideally within onshore renewables and/or offshore wind farm construction

Proven experience in a Senior or Lead HSE Advisor role

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrable experience working with third-party contractors in relation to HSE

Good knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis

IT literate, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of Synergi would be an advantage

NEBOSH Certificate (minimum Level 3) or equivalent recognised HSE qualification
-
Current clean UK driving licence
