UTM Consultants are looking for a Mechanical Equipment Technician, to assist our client with their project offshore, Netherlands.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Mission Equipment (ME) between projects.
- Diagnose technical issues and carry out necessary repairs to ensure optimal equipment readiness.
- Supervise subcontractors performing maintenance or repair activities on mission equipment or tools.
- Prepare mission equipment and technical tools for upcoming offshore projects, including testing and verification.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment on vessels.
- Ensure all ME complies with safety, technical and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections and service reports.
Secondary Tasks and responsibilities
- Assist with inventory control of tools, spare parts and ME components.
- Coordinate procurement needs (spare parts, consumables, external services).
- Ensure proper storage, labelling and organisation of mission equipment and tools.
- Provide operational support to the ME Engineer and vessel teams when required.
- Contribute to improvements in maintenance procedures, planning and workflows.
- Support internal audits, safety inspections and compliance requirements.
Technical profile requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with heavy equipment or complex maritime/offshore installations is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and asset management tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions independently.
- Safety focused mindset and familiarity with maritime/offshore safety standards (LOTO, lifting, rigging, etc.).

- Accurate, structured and detail oriented way of working.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over equipment readiness.
- Team player with clear and open communication skills.
- Ability to supervise external technicians/subcontractors in a professional manner.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with heavy equipment and challenging planning cycles.
Methodology/Certification requirements
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Marine Engineering or similar field.
Language proficiencies
- Fluent in Dutch & English (spoken and written)
