Inspector Electrical and Instrumentation

UTM Consultants are looking for a Inspector Electrical and Instrumentation, to assist our client with their project offshore, Netherlands.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Support the Sub-Package Lead (SPL) and QC Coordinator by reviewing all quality deliverables from vendors (e.g. as-built documentation, punch lists) against the Employer’s Requirements

  • Support the electrical, instrumentation, control and automation disciplines on quality-related issues and documentation

  • Monitor execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) as specified in Inspection Notifications from the EPCI contractor during the vendor manufacturing phase

  • Witness inspection and testing activities (including electrical inspections, hardware and software tests, and FATs) on behalf of the client, based on a risk-based inspection schedule

  • Travel frequently to vendor manufacturing and construction locations

  • Facilitate remote inspections via video connection (e.g. HoloLens) with our client’s offices

  • Report, track, and follow up on quality issues per package (e.g. NCRs, open points)

  • Monitor implementation of Employer’s Requirements for electrical, instrumentation, and control/automation equipment

  • Align closely with the QC Coordinator on inspections, ITPs, and quality matters

  • Act as the Client (End-User / Employer) during witnessed inspections and tests

Profile

  • Extensive experience in offshore projects within Oil & Gas, Renewables, or the Shipping industry

  • Proven experience reviewing and drafting QC plans and ITPs

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a QC inspection role

  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g. BS, IEC, ISO, API, ATEX, EEMUA) related to electrical and instrumentation work

  • Experience inspecting a wide range of electrical, instrumentation, and control/automation equipment (e.g. switchgear, breakers, bushings, electric drives, automation systems)

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Dutch language skills are an advantage, but not mandatory

The project is due to start on 15th February 2026 and will last approx. 48 weeks
