UTM Consultants are looking for a HSE Advisor in Poland for a 16 month contract.

Typical Tasks

• Drive and promote a positive and proactive HSE culture through leading by example, cultural engagement, using data, raising awareness, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned registration and implementation.
• Demonstrate and promote data-driven risk management through a proactive reporting culture and high-quality data management.
  • Support ongoing development, implementation, and use of client systems, procedures, instructions, and associated HSE documentation.
  • Instructions, procedures, contingency plans.
  • HSE Management system (way we work) / QHSE process landscape.
  • Global/local Emergency Response / Crisis Management.
  • Audit/compliance check (ISO 9001/14001/45001/55001).
• Effective liaison with contractors and JV partners at management and site levels to establish and improve safety, health and environmental culture.
• Participate and contribute to all relevant site HSE meetings.
• Participate in audits internal and external.
• Support follow-up on findings from HSE-related audits, inspections, incident investigation and support implementation of NCRs.
• Reporting LTIs to HSE organisation in accordance with the process.
• Provide advice on questions regarding HSE in daily work e.g. management, technicians, internal and external.
• Ensure the validity of own safety/training certificates as required.
• Be proactive in maintaining own competence levels required for the role.
• Create and provide different reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure data correctness across reports.
• Experience in working in 50/50 joint ventures is appreciated.
• Polish language is appreciated.

Deliverables

• Facilitation of regular HSE meetings with Contractor and JV partners.
• Review of Risk Assessed Method Statements (RAMS).
• Operational HSE Assessment.
• Perform HSE induction of Clients Representatives.
• Perform HSE presentations at kick-off meetings.
• HSE walk reports e.g. using Digital Inspection Tool.
• Entry of incidents and proactive measures in Synergi.
• Other deliverables as per Project (Q)HSE Risk management processes and APQHSE Management framework.

Requirements and Qualifications

• English language skills.
• Relevant academic or technical background.
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience with HSE, ideally from onshore renewables/offshore windfarm construction.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and presentation skills.
• IT literate Microsoft Office package, knowledge of Synergi is an advantage.
• Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of route cause analysis and incident investigation.
• Completed NEBOSH minimum level 3, or similar recognised HSE qualification.
• Current clean European driver’s license.

Working Conditions / Locations

• The normal shift pattern is a 5-day week Monday–Friday, 8-hour days.
• Part-time or 4-day week will also be considered.
• There is flexibility for some hybrid work-from-home arrangement to be discussed and agreed with Project QHSE Director.

The project is due to start on 5th October 2026 and will last approx. 64 weeks
