UTM Consultants are currently looking for Competent Technicians for projects in Germany on Siemens 3.6MW and 4MW turbines.
Description:
Carry out assigned inspection, maintenance and testing work safely and to the required technical standard. Work within your WTSR competence and site appointment, under the direction of an Authorised Technician where required.

Carry out assigned inspection, maintenance and testing work safely and to the required technical standard. Work within your WTSR competence and site appointment, under the direction of an Authorised Technician where required.
- Complete assigned mechanical or electrical tasks using approved procedures, checklists and manufacturer instructions.
- Assist with crane and service lift inspections and functional checks where trained and competent.
- Identify and report defects, unsafe conditions and out-of-tolerance results.
- Follow the applicable WTSR procedures, risk assessments, permits and isolations.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, test results and work completed.
- Support safe handovers and coordination with the offshore team.
Required certificates and qualifications
- Mechanical or electrical trade certificate, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Current WTSR Core training and relevant experience as a Competent Technician.
- GWO offshore training, including Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling and Sea Survival. Advanced Rescue, Enhanced First Aid, HUET and confined-space qualifications
- Crane-specific training for the equipment in scope, such as relevant HIAB or Palfinger OEM training, crane inspection training, or crane operation and slinging/signaller training as applicable.
- For service lift work, relevant Avanti or SkyMan training for the lift type and task.
- Current offshore medical and required travel or access documents.
The project is due to start on 1st March 2027 and will last approx. 24 weeks
