UTM Consultants are currently looking for Authorised Technicians for projects in Germany on Siemens 3.6MW and 4MW turbines.
Description:
Lead the mechanical or electrical inspection and maintenance work on offshore wind turbines in Germany. Work within the limits of your site appointment and the applicable WTSR procedures.
- Lead the work party and confirm the work scope, risk controls and safe system of work.
- Apply WTSR procedures for isolations, permits and control of hazardous energy, within your appointment.
- Carry out or oversee checks on cranes and turbine service lifts where qualified for the task.
- Coordinate with operations, other contractors and the Competent Technician.
- Stop work and report unsafe conditions, defects or incomplete safety documentation.
- Complete work records, inspection reports and handovers.
Required certificates and qualifications
- Mechanical or electrical trade certificate, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Current WTSR Core training and formal appointment as an Authorised Technician under the applicable site safety rules.
- GWO offshore training, including Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling and Sea Survival. Advanced Rescue, Enhanced First Aid, HUET and confined-space qualifications.
- Relevant experience with small offshore cranes, such as HIAB or Palfinger, and/or service lifts, such as Avanti or SkyMan.
- Current offshore medical and required travel or access documents.
The project is due to start on 1st March 2027 and will last approx. 24 weeks
