UTM Consultants are looking for a 66kV Senior Authorised Person required in Poland for an 8-month contract.
Responsible for HV system integration, operational supervision and electrical safety rules (HV/MV/LV). Ensure safety when working with High HV and LV. Review of RAMS and Method Statements. Act as a for HV Authorised Persons.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical issues according to the affected country's legislation and regulation.
- Delegating scopes of work for the whole team of Transmission Specialists on sites, both offshore and onshore work scopes.
- Responsible for and managing rota plans for all Transmission Specialists and Operators on site.
- Leading all improvements of instructions and site-specific instructions related to High Voltage electrical operations on sites.
- Implementation of the Client Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of work.
- Advise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables.
- Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
- Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
- Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively.
- Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages.
- Advise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables.
- Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
- Oversee and the delegation of planning of all switching activities on sites, both offshore and onshore activities.
- Controlling the safety documents for the Electrical Safety Rules on site.
- Define safety procedures for electrical matters.
- Delegation of tasks to the Operators on sites, who oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
- Reviewing the high voltage scope of work.
- Knowledge and experience with country-specific standards.
Tasks
- Ensure compliancy with and managing of Client Electrical Safety Rules.
- Safety coordination in electrical matters.
- Manage and coordinate HV/MV/LV commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with National Grid and attend commissioning panel meetings.
- Act as senior authorized person.
- Outage management and network control in collaboration with the Control Engineers.
- Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules.
- Update MV/HV/LV schematic diagrams.
- Inspect work sites and perform site safety inspections and auditing for electrical matters.
- Check method statements for electrical matters.
- Implement and provide training programs for relevant staff according to the rules.
- Mentor HV APs during field training.
Deliverables
- Input to the project commissioning management manual and related documents, including pre-commissioning and commissioning quality plans.
- Participation in different audits.
- Reports from FAT & SAT on the different high voltage equipment.
- Onsite check of switching programs.
- Participation in the planning of resource and work activities.
- Participation in authorizations and assessments of new candidates.
- Deliver inputs to the design phase of the project on technical aspects.
Decision Authority
- Final say in relation to MV/HV switching and isolations.
- Issue of Client Electrical Safety Rules safety rules documents.
- Organization and management of the SAP permit office, including all operational staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Several years of operation and commissioning experience within the field of high voltage electricity; offshore experience preferable.
- Appropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience within onshore substations systems.
- Complete and up-to-date GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS if required by site
The project is due to start on 31st October 2026 and will last approx. 32 weeks
